BUNDLE 12 --A good sturdy clean frame with the right tension plays one of the important role in the printing of an image. Our wood frames are made out of Popular wood, imported from Canada. The Popular wood is harder and stronger. First, these wood frames are treated with two coats of Polyurethane coating to improve the water and solvent resistance. The adhesive for the joints is a very special glue giving them water and solvent resistance. The cleaning of the wood frame in a dip tank where you may be using the Reclaimer or One Step (cleaning both Plastisol ink and emulsion) chemicals that are supposed to carry some solvents and water, cause the frame to warp. So the special adhesive that is being used in our wood frames contributes significantly to the quality of the frame. Once the frame is ready for the mesh, the tension put on the frame is very critical. For low count mesh such as 86 or 110, 35 to 40 Newtons is required for proper printing. Usually, the tension goes down in time and the usage.Each frame is tested individually for tension and adjusted till it gets the right tension. For the higher mesh from 230 to 420 counts and depending on the thickness of the thread, the tension ranging from 15 to 30 Newtons are being applied.
