Aluminum Screen with 158 White Mesh 20" x 24" Aluminum Screen with 158 White Mesh 20" x 24" 13/8X13/8--- 6063 T5 alloy
These are imported frames with block-out tape on both the Print and Squeegee sides. We have tested the tapes with our Plastiwash and Xendegrade without ungluing the tape. The tape may detach if the tape is exposed or dipped to the screen Opener, a stronger Press wash, or Ink-degradent that could have leached into the glue line; or if the frames were left in the Dip Tank. Usually, after the first round of printing, a new tapping may be required. So, The best option would be to take the tape out and put in new tape or apply liquid Block Out. Do not take out the tape before printing, it may damage the screen adhesive.
Recommendations for Maintaining Aluminum FramesThe solvent mixture based on NMP or Acetone should be avoided as these two solvents attack almost most adhesive polymers.
