Overview

XenBond is a one-of-a-kind product with multiple functions, serving as an adhesion promoter, stretching agent, and adhesive for glitter and beads. Its unique properties make it stand out in various applications. Here's a rephrased description:

XenBond is a remarkable product that is an adhesion promoter, stretching agent, and adhesive for glitter and beads. Its distinct characteristics set it apart:

As an adhesion promoter for polyester and nylon fabrics with plastisol ink, XenBond reduces the fusion temperature, enhances flexibility in dried plastisol ink (resulting in increased stretchability), and boosts gloss.

In cases where regular plastisol ink needs to adhere to nylon, polyester, or PVC, XenBond eliminates the need for toxic ink catalysts (isocyanate-based) commonly found in the market. These catalysts have several drawbacks: they are highly poisonous and cannot be shipped via UPS and FedEx without hazmat labels, they reduce the ink's pot life significantly upon addition, and they compromise the flow of plastisol ink. XenBond, however, does not suffer from these issues.

XenBond can also be used as an adhesive for bonding foil, providing excellent results. Additionally, it functions exceptionally well as a stretching agent, improving the gloss of cured plastisol ink. In most cases, adding 15% XenBond is sufficient for optimal performance.

XenBond has a fusion temperature range of 200-225°F. For challenging fabrics like spandex, applying XenBond, flashing it, and then applying poly ink on top enhances bondability and stretchability.

Application:

  • Ideal for improving stretchability
  • Add 10-15% to bond the ink to Nylon and Polyester as an adhesion promoter with regular plastisol ink.
  • For stretching purposes, use 7 to 10%
  • For bonding fabric with foil, apply XenBond to the fabric through screening, briefly flash, and then heat seal the foil to the fabric.
  • For glitter applications, sprinkle the glitter onto wet XenBond after screening it onto the fabric, then send it through a dryer or flash at 200 to 225°F.

CAUTION:

PROVIDE GOOD VENTILATION AS YOU DO FOR ALL PLASTISOL INKS
USE MASKS AND GLOVES
