Overview

903WR Photo Emulsion For Water-Based and Plastisol Ink

903WR Photo Emulsion is a fast-drying photopolymer emulsion. 903WR is recommended for Plastisol and water-based ink systems. For a water-based ink system, a hardener is recommended for a longer run. screening supplies store offers a two-part hardener that would enhance the durability of the emulsion film for a very long run Hardener- the only drawback is that the screen then can not be reclaimed if you use a two-part hardener, otherwise the reclaiming of 903 WR the cured film is easy; the screen may be reclaimed with our stripper (XER). Add Diazo at room temperature, shake long enough till Diazo powder is completely dissolved, and then add the solution to the photo emulsion. Mix well into the emulsion and let it stand for at least 30 minutes to release any air bubbles that may have formed. It is advisable to use a press or ink wash and ink-degradant meant for Plastisol ink. Avoid using acetone or mineral spirit as they may lock in the emulsion film.

Preparation of Screen for Photo Emulsion:

clean the screen with a degreaser and let it dry completely
add water to the Diazo bottle & shake for a minute or so, making sure that all of the Daizo is dissolved
You may apply one coat of emulsion with Diazo on the squeegee side and one on the print side or two coats on each side starting from the print side. The more coats you put on, the heavier stencil will be achieved. With a heavier stencil, the exposure time will be increased. Let the emulsion film dry, then wash the screen with a water mist to open the image area. Get all the water by air or blotting; otherwise, the emulsion residue may run into the image area, blocking the ink. Look for any pinholes. 903WR does not usually yield pinholes if exposed within the optimum exposure limits. If there are pinholes, use block-out to close the pinholes. Xenon products has an excellent block-out for this purpose..

Highlights:
  • broad spectrum of exposure limits, longer latitude
  • good resolution
  • good edge definition
  • perfect mesh bridging
  • fast drying
  • Longer print capabilities with outstanding durability
  • easy reclaiming
  • excellent humidity resistance

Specification data:
  • color: Blue
