Overview

Dual Cure 902QDC Emulsion.

Dual Cure 902QDC Emulsion is recommended for plastisol and is compatible with all inks. Reclaiming the cured film is straightforward, as the screen can be easily reclaimed using our stripper. To incorporate diazo into the emulsion, add water at room temperature (distilled) and shake thoroughly until it dissolves. Then, mix the solution to the emulsion well, allowing it to stand for at least 30 minutes. This step helps release any air bubbles that may have formed.

Screen and Emulsion Preparation: Begin by cleaning the screen with a degreaser and ensuring it is dry. Take the diazo bottle and add water, shaking it for approximately one minute to ensure complete dissolution of the diazo. Apply a single coat of emulsion with diazo on the squeegee side and another coat on the print side, or apply two coats on each side, starting from the print side. The number of coats applied determines the thickness of the stencil. A thicker stencil will require a longer exposure time. Allow the emulsion film to dry, then wash the screen using a mist of water to reveal the image area. Ensure that all the water is removed by either using air or blotting, as any emulsion residue left in the image area can block the ink. Inspect the screen for any pinholes. Generally, 902 QDC does not produce pinholes if exposed within the recommended exposure limits. In the case of any pinholes, use a block-out to seal them.
